Scrappy earrings

How is your general feeling towards earrings? Love them, hate them, never got round to getting your ears pierced?

I simply love them. I must have that from my mom. Just like her, I never leave the house without them. If I did forget to put them on, it’s a sign that something is clouding my mind. I guess you can kind of see them as my mood barometer.

While browsing on Ravelry, I came across a pattern for earrings. Strange that I had never thought about them before. I got myself some earring hooks, got out some scrap yarn and got going. I started with the Dainty earrings, and they really don’t take long to make.

So, the next day, proud of my work, I wore them when I went to visit my in-laws. And I went home without them… I’d made my first sale: to my sister-in-law. Here she is, looking marvellous with them:

When I got home, I started going again. A red pair this time, so as to match my outfit for the next day.

And while I was on it, I made a poppy pair as well.
