Gruffalo booties

Our little boy needed new slippers. The old ones had served their part, and had become too small. And a bit worn as well. Let’s just say that toes were peeping out of them. No denying about it, we needed newer and bigger slippers. And this time, I went for booties.
I got the inspiration from the Grufallo, the most loved fairy-tale monster in this house.
If you don’t know the story, it’s about a little mouse that’s walking through the woods, and meets fox, owl and snake there. All three of them are very interested in eating the mouse, but the mouse tells them it has a lunch date with the Gruffalo, a large, dangerous and made-up monster that lives in the woods as well. Fox, owl and snake rather don’t wait for the Gruffalo to show, and choose to leave mouse alone. Mouse is very pleased about its little story, until it turns out that the Gruffalo actually does exist…
Anyway, booties. With flat feet.
And turned out toes.
And purple prickles all over its back. Just like the Gruffalo.
I also added some elastics at the top, so the booties stay put. If not, they tend to fall off.
To be honest, I think I’ll make a pair for myself as well…
