If you speak Dutch and if you know how to sew, there’s no need to introduce this book anymore. The sequel to Zo geknipt, Zo geknipt 2 is out, and everybody knows it.
When the first book was published, Jos and Tialda organised a sewalong. And when the second book was announced, the two ladies didn’t hesitate to start organizing a second sewalong. Woohoo!
I’m in, that’s for sure. I know I won’t be able to sew all recipes in the book, but I hope to complete more than I did last time. 3 wasn’t enough, that’s for sure. Not that I did not want to sew more, on the contrary, but life happened, you know. I hope I’ll get some more time to sew in 2015!
Getting the book was not as easy as it should have been. Riet and Lies, the authors, came to Ghent, but because our little guy was ill, I couldn’t make it. So, instead, I chose to order it online. The shop I ordered it from used to be good, but this time… This time they told me the book was not available in Belgium (where it’s printed), and then didn’t know what account I already paid the money too and what account they needed to refund the money too. That’s the last time I ordered something from them…
So, I ordered from a different webshop. But this time, I made a mistake and ordered the first book by accident. Aaargh! That’ll teach me to order stuff on the internet late at night. Fortunately, this shop focuses more on its user experience, made returning the book very easy for me, and sent me the second book right after I reordered. Win!
Of course I could have just entered a regular bookshop. But hey, why go for the obvious? Anyway, I’m ready now!
How about you? Are you sewing along? And did you encounter any problems to get the book?
